Chi sit in 17th place but with games in hand on every team in the league, they will look to gain back some hot form after only one win in the last five matches. However, some good results in the games in hand would put the Lilywhites in and around the playoff spots. Folkestone will look to increase their gap as the league leaders.
Recent results:
22/11 Brentwood Town (H) 2-5 (L)
15/11 Dartford (A) 2-0 (L)
11/11 Whitehawk (H) 2-1 (W)
08/11 Cray Wanderers (A) 0-0 (D)
01/11 Dulwich Hamlet (H) 0-0 (D)
The Opponents:
The Seasiders sit top of the league by four points after a win away against Wingate & Finchley on Tuesday evening, although second place Brentwood face the in-form Aveley who could close that gap.
Like Chichester, they have been good defensively this season with only 17 goals conceded. Miles Rutherford’s defence will be tested on Saturday as Invicta lead the goal scoring charts with an impressive tally of 50, including commanding wins of 6-0 and 8-1.
A notable player for the hosts might be striker Joe Pigott, who has been a regular feature in EFL sides across the last decade, including AFC Wimbledon where he made 165 appearances in two spells, as well as appearing for Portsmouth and Ipswich Town. Since joining in September, Pigott has scored nine goals this season, the same as his strike partner Jake Hutchinson, who should be a threat to Chi’s defence.
The opposition’s manager, Jay Saunders, had some good words to say about Chichester ahead of the clash, “They’re a good, well-drilled side and since Tuesday we’ve been preparing for them, making sure the players are right”. Saunders has been in charge since March 2025 and had previously coached Maidstone United and Tonbridge Angels, who he left to join Invicta.
Previous meetings:
Chi are unbeaten in the league against Folkestone in the last 3 meetings, winning 2 of them and the scores being level at one goal apiece at Oaklands Park in the first game of this season – with a Lloyd Rowlatt strike from a corner quickly cancelling out a Hutchinson goal on the hour mark.
Last 5 matchups:

17/09/22 – Folkestone 3-0 Chichester (FA Cup)
28/09/24 – Chichester 2-1 Folkestone
11/03/25 – Folkestone 1-3 Chichester
