The tie will take place on Saturday 21st September. As a result our league visit to Haywards Heath Town will now be re-arranged.

Hartley Wintney have a had a remarkable few seasons, they were back-to-back Champions of the Combined Counties League Premier Division, securing promotion at the second attempt in 2015/16 following ground grading issues a year previous.

They spent just one season at step 4 however – a fourth place finish in the Southern League South Division saw them qualify for the play-offs at the first time of asking. A semi-final win over AFC Dunstable was followed by a 1-0 victory over Cambridge City to secure consecutive promotions.

Last season, their first at step 3, saw a respectable eighth place finish in the Southern League Premier Division.

“Before this season I hadn’t won a game for the club in this competition, the players have done great to get this far”.
Miles Rutherford

The Row took their place in today’s draw courtesy of a 3-0 home win over step 5 Spelthorne Sports in the first qualifying round on Saturday.

Chi on the over hand have come through three rounds to get to this stage and are the second highest scorers left in the competition with 12 goals so far.

Having already achieved it’s best cup run in the club’s current form this will no doubt be manager Miles Rutherford’s biggest test so far.

“We wanted a home draw obviously but you can’t do anything about that and we’ll be going there to win the game” said Rutherford.

“They’ll be the favourites for sure but we’ll be quietly confident going there, there’s nothing to fear”.
