Following their goalless draw on Saturday Chi host Hartley Wintney in an FA Cup second qualifying round replay on Tuesday evening.
- Horncastle (50')
The original tie, played in difficult conditions never really looked like producing a winner as both sides struggled to find any quality going forward on an extremely tricky surface.
As a consequence both clubs will feature in the draw for the third qualifying round released by the FA Monday lunchtime, meaning they’ll have the added incentive of knowing their potential opponents alongside the prospect of the £6,750 prize money awarded to the winners.
The home side will have to be at their very best to progress though, The Row are unbeaten on their travels this season with two wins and a draw from their three Southern League Premier Division South matches away from home so far.
Chi boss Miles Rutherford maybe slightly concerned that his side who were free-scoring early on in the campaign have now failed to score in their last two matches, although he’ll be pleased they have been able to shore things up the back in the meantime with only one goal conceded in the previous four outings.
Kick-off at Oaklands Park is 7:45pm with admission prices £8 for adults, £4 for concessions, £1 for Students/16-18-years-olds, while under-16’s go free.
The Velocity Trophy group stage fixture at Haywards Heath Town originally schedule for Tuesday evening will now be played on Tuesday 19th November.
