In the midst of a remarkable run in the FA Cup Chichester City begin their FA Trophy campaign against Isthmian League South East Division rivals Three Bridges on Saturday.
It’s the first time the club have competed in the competition following promotion to step 4 last season.
It will be the second meeting of the two sides in quick succession following Bridges’ 1-0 victory in the league meeting at Oaklands Park just ten days ago.
City’s failure to convert a host of chances throughout the 90 minutes cost them dear as Tom Tolfrey’s penalty and a heroic performance from ‘keeper Kieron Thorp earned the visitors all three points.
While Chi have had two battles with division-higher Hartley Wintney since then, Bridges have had just the one outing – a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Hastings United in the Velocity Trophy on Tuesday evening.
Kick-off at Oaklands Park is 3pm with admission £8 for adults, £4 for concessions, £1 for Students/16-18-years-olds, while under-16’s go free.
