The Musselmen’s Southern Combination Football League Division One home match with Mile Oak fell victim to the weather at the weekend and following an early afternoon pitch inspection it has been deemed that the surface is still not playable.
Chi now face a backlog of fixtures due to the recent bad weather coupled with their continued involvement in this season’s Emirates FA Cup and are now without a free midweek until 17th December, although Sussex Senior Cup fixtures take preference over league fixtures so it’s likely to be rescheduled before then.
Next up City travel to third place Sevenoaks Town in the Isthmian League South East Division on Saturday, with the Oaks’ Bourne Stadium featuring a 3G playing surface there shouldn’t be any issue with the weather.
Following that the draw for the Emirates FA Cup second round takes place on Monday 11th November with Chi set to find out their opponents having received a bye in round one.
