Chichester City Women manager Connor Slade’s reaction to the game:

“I felt the first half was display of patience and possession, but when a communication error at the back cost us; we didn’t react with the right tempo, and we weren’t effective enough in the final third. But Lisbeth’s goal right on half time meant at least we came in on level terms”.

“The halftime talk was focused on increasing that tempo. Katie is renowned for making a big impact off the bench, and she came on with the right temperament and energy that we needed”.

“She’s been working really hard on and off the pitch and I’m delighted she’s seeing the rewards. The game was controlled by us and when we found our flow, we looked dangerous.

We have a lot to learn from our first league game. ”
