Mondays friendly will be a good test to see how we will fare for the rest of the season

On Monday 5th April, Chichester City Women are back in action for the first time since December, when they take on Leatherhead Women in Bletchworth, Surrey.
With a near 4 month break in games, City Women have arranged a post-lockdown friendly ahead of the resumption of their league season.
With their first training sessions completed, the mood in the camp is one of relief that things are starting to move again, and morale and motivations are high looking ahead to the game on Monday.
Manager Connor Slade is pleased with the reaction and effort made in training.
“The response to the return of training has been fantastic! We’ve managed to get two sessions in before our first friendly. I think the group as a whole have maintained a certain level of fitness throughout the lockdown period, and have come back physically fit.
Monday is all about players getting minutes, and getting up to scratch for the final part of the season. Its one that I know all the players are excited for, and have been waiting for since the beginning of the delay to the season”.
Captain Gaby Hobday is delighted training and games are resuming.
“I am so excited to be playing again! I can’t believe it’s been so long since our last game, and it’s safe to say I’ve missed it massively. Not just the playing side, but also the social element that comes with playing in this team has definitely been something I have missed a lot.
Mondays friendly will be a good test to see how we will fare for the rest of the season, and I’m excited for us to pick up where we left off and hopefully continue our run of great performances”.
Midfielder Mikki Collins is also raring to go!
“It’s so great finally to be back playing football again after nearly 4 months off. We definitely found our rhythm just before Christmas playing exciting football so it will be amazing to continue that for the last stretch of the season”.
