Miles Rutherford’s side progressed to the next round of the competition after seeing off Winchester City 3-1 last weekend.
Scott Jones opened the scoring early on with a pinpoint header into the bottom corner. Ethan Prichard then doubled Chichester’s lead. A nice one-two between Gicu Iordache and Kaleem Haitham saw Prichard latch on to a low cross to score.
Winchester pulled a goal back from the penalty spot on 73 minutes to make it a nervy ending. However, Iordache settled the game, scoring Chi’s third goal 10 minutes later. Good build-up play from Chichester allowed him to collect the ball on the edge of the penalty area and rifle it into the far corner.
Northwood’s recent Emirates FA Cup match saw them take on Burnham. The two sides could not be separated in the first match at the weekend, with the game ending 1-1. The replay took place on Tuesday night and the Woods came out 4-1 winners, meaning they advanced into the next round.
The First Round Qualifying game is at Northwood’s The Fenton Civil Engineering Stadium. The match is scheduled for Saturday 4th September with kick-off at 3pm.
The Club is looking at providing supporters coach travel to our Emirates FA Cup game at Northwood if there is enough demand.
If the coach is full, we expect it to cost around £15 per person. If you are interested, please email ccfcfans@chichestercityfc.co.uk
