After bouncing back to winning ways at the weekend, with a 2-1 victory over St Albans City, Chi will be looking to carry on their momentum into mid-week. They will hope to build some consistency and start to climb up the table.

The win on Saturday pushed Chi up to 16th in the Isthmian Premier Division, whereas the opponents, Cheshunt, currently sit just below in 18th. A win for their opposition will put them above Chichester in the table so this matchup is expected to be a tight and competitive game as both teams will be determined to claim the 3 points.

Our Opponents

City’s opponents have earned themselves 4 points in their last four games but head into Tuesday’s fixture coming off a 2-1 loss to Wealdstone in the FA Trophy. They will be hoping to move away from the relegation zone and into a much safer position as we press into the Christmas period. Chichester on the other hand have also had a mixed bag of results, also picking up 4 points from their last three league games.

Past Encounters

Chichester have had the most joy in the past two meetings between the teams, with a convincing 4-0 win at Oaklands thanks to doubles from Emmett Dunn (pictured) and Mo Jammeh, and a 3-2 win away last season when Ben Pashley, Jimmy Wild and Dunn found the back of the net. Cheshunt will certainly hope to improve their defensive record against the Lillywhites and Chi will also hope to find some solidity in the backline as they have been leaking goals in recent weeks. Tuesday night’s fixture could therefore hinge on which side is able to strike the right balance between attacking threat and defensive discipline.

With both teams eager for points and plenty at stake in the league table, Tuesday night’s fixture promises to be a competitive and entertaining evening of football under the lights.
