That’s nine clean sheets on the bounce now in a run where Wild has netted nine times for Miles Rutherford’s play-off contenders.
Ryan Davidson returned at right back for the absent Emmett Dunn and Ben Pashley lined up alongside Curtis Da Costa for Connor Cody in the heart of the Chi defence.
The hosts won a free-kick in the opening minute which Rob Hutchings took and the Golds cleared.
Isaac Bello then gave Littlehampton defender Ryan Yoro-Thomas something to think about down the right flank before referee Anthony Cross had a chat with Scott Packer for a foul on Clack.
Former Chi player Dave Herbert then found forward Dion Jarvis who cut inside but the ball was cleared easily enough and Wild forced the home team a throw-in.
Neat play by the impressive Mo Jammeh saw him link up with Hutchings and win a corner which Joe Moore delivered.
And then Bello, up against Bradley Peters, won another which Hutchings took and crashed against the top of the bar.
The goal on 14 minutes, which had been coming to be fair, from Clack, occurred after a sharp move and cross by Wild.
It might have been 1-1 60 seconds later when Ollie Starkey took on Hutchings and teed up Nodirbek Bobomurodov who fired his shot just over.
Mr Cross then had a word with Bello for a challenge on Jordan Layton.
Kieran Magee was out smartly to deny Josh Short on 19 minutes and made a good save from Jarvis as the visitors forced a corner of their own.
Magee punched this away as things got recycled to Herbert before a slick move involving both Joes, Clack and Bello led to Wild stabbing just wide.
A clever back-heel by Jammeh to Clack resulted in Littlehampton hooking it away before Yoro-Thomas cleared Jammeh’s next effort.
The Chi No10 was involved again hitting a cross inches away from Wild’s reach.
Then Short and Starkey combined only for a brilliant defensive tackle to break the attack up.
Jammeh and Clack played a slick one-two next but Jammeh’s shot smashed into the side-netting before he picked Joe Clarke whose forward pass was cut out.
Bello did well and Wild fed Clack who blasted the ball off target.
On the half hour, Chi struggled to get decent connections on another couple of efforts and four minutes later at the other end Herbert lifted a shot over.
The same happened to Clack’s attempt in the 35th minute when he cut inside before the away side had a spell without any final product.
Wild almost got in only for a defender to make a telling block and the loose ball wouldn’t fall to Bello.
Bello then crossed for Wild but he couldn’t find a finish.
Da Costa, who has really shone in recent weeks, did well up against Short before Davidson was impeded.
Pashley got a talking to by the ref on 43 for something off the ball and Jarvis’ shot on the turn was no problem for the ever-reliable Magee.
And it might have been 2-0 just before the break but keeper Kieoren Thorp made a spectacular save tipping over Bello’s fierce effort.
Littlehampton started the second half brightly forcing Davidson into a hand-ball. Layton took the free-kick in a dangerous area but Magee claimed safely enough.
Wild and Jammeh then combined as Chi looked to get going again before Jammeh struck the post on 49 after the No9 flicked on.
Packer got spoken to for a foul and Hutchings delivered the set-piece only for the Golds to concede a throw on the other side.
Clack received a bit of treatment in the 53rd minute before Bello broke down the right, although his cross came to nothing.
Littlehampton lost captain Herbert on the hour to be replaced by Marshall Ball before Pashley wasn’t far off with a header from a corner.
And then it was 2-0 as Wild got on the end of Pashley’s searching free-kick and converted.
Clack was replaced by Ethan Prichard, who grabbed a hat-trick away at Littlehampton, on 65 with Hutchings taking the skipper’s armband.
Wild headed wide a Hutchings’ corner on 67.
It all got a bit quite for five-ten minutes or so.
Magee held Starkey’s shot comfortably; Lloyd Rowlatt came on; Davidson hit one intended for Jammeh too close to Thorp; and the Golds’ keeper claimed a cross without any real pressure.
An offside Prichard found the back of the net on 83 which was chalked off, before a through ball to Wild was played too hard.
Magee then gathered Yoro-Thomas’ cross from the left and Pashley was well-in on Short who fired a wild shot off target in time added on, and could have done better from close range with practically the last kick of the game.
