Miles Rutherford, Darrin Killpartrick and Danny Potter again went with the same starting XI that featured that superb 3-1 weekend win at Oaklands Park against Billericay. Keeper Kieran Magee lined up with skipper Ryan Davidson and Ben Pashley at centre backs and Emmett Dunn and Bello either side. Saturday’s Man of the Match Joe Moore started as holding player in midfield together with Lloyd Rowlatt, Mo Jammeh, Joe Clarke and Prichard and Jimmy Wild up top.
Chi started brightly and Bello won a corner in the first minute.
Rowlatt had an effort and the ball was diverted for another kick on the College Lane side.
The Darts cleared and Magee was called on to intercept at the other end.
Prichard went on a fine run but the visitors broke once more as Olly Box set Callum Jones up for a shot that nicked off a defender for a corner.
Wild headed this away and the Kent side earned a free kick after Prichard impeded a player and the hosts cleared without any more trouble.
Pashley got in nicely on Jones and Samir Carruthers hit one high over the bar.
Then Sam Okoye went down in the area – no penalty according to referee Thomas Farr.
A poor Pashley clearance fell to Box who had a go and he then broke the deadlock after a Chi defensive mistake on 10 minutes.
Davidson found Wild 60 seconds later but the ball went out for a goal kick before Denzelle Olopade tried his luck only for his attempt to get blocked.
Next, Pashley was in effectively on Okoye and the resulting throw came to nothing.
A rather tentative shot from Jammeh hit the post in the 19th minute and ricocheted kindly into Jacob Marsden’s arms.
The away team saw a second penalty claim dismissed by Mr Farr moments later and then Jones was flagged offside.
Box had another effort which cannoned off a Chi defender and straight at Magee.
And then the visitors doubled their advantage as a cross from the left was inadvertently turned past his goalie by Pashley on 26 minutes.
The loose ball was almost picked up by Jones as Dartford outmuscled the Sussex side again and captain Josh Hill received the game’s first yellow card for a set-piece which Prichard took and won Chichester a corner.
This came over at a nice height for Dunn who couldn’t head it home.
Chi earned a free kick for a Carruthers’ indiscretion and a slick twist and turn from Prichard led to another corner.
Magee had to cut out the threat posed by Okoye and Clarke had a go at the Archery End but didn’t really quite get hold of it sufficiently.
Another decent Chi move led to a second Clarke hit, and the ball moving this way and that struck the woodwork.
Marsden coped with Prichard’s effort five minutes before the break and Sam Odaudu struck a speculative free kick over the bar.
Magee got in to clear after a Pashley/Jones foot race; Clarke made a lovely tackle; and Prichard’s effort on the stroke of half time was claimed easily enough by Marsden.
Rob Hutchings replaced Rowlatt at the interval as Chi rejigged and Clarke picked up booking for a foul on Box almost immediately after the restart.
Carruthers’ free kick came to nothing though and Jammeh tried to play Wild in but his pass was too firm.
Bello in a more forward position now found Prichard who turned it back to Hutchings for a cross that went out for a goal kick.
Magee collected a delivery from the right at the other end and Hutchings made a well-timed tackle on Olopade.
Jones was flagged offside after Jeremiah Pinder and Odaudu combined before Carruthers got in but no one could finish.
Dunn mistimed a header back to Magee and the ball went out for a corner which Carruthers took and then tried to lob Magee from some distance following a Pashley error.
A super challenge from Davidson led to a Darts’ corner and then another one before Prichard hauled the hosts back into things with a lovely strike on the turn from some way out on 65 minutes.
The visitors won a corner and then a set-piece which Carruthers bought to be fair.
Finlay Chadwick came on for Clarke 68 minutes in and Box hit a stanchion.
Both Hutchings and Wild conceded free kicks as the momentum started to shift.
And then it was all level after Prichard picked Bello with a delicious cut back and the No3 found the back of the net to rapturous applause.
A Prichard ball was subsequently cut out for a corner and the Chi forward won a throw after a measured pass from Chadwick.
With Prichard on fire now an amazing touch earned the hosts a corner which they couldn’t profit from.
Both teams were adjudged offside in their next moves and a Dartford corner got headed clear.
With a couple of minutes of normal time to go Wild had a go with an overhead but lost his bearings and fired off target.
And a Hutchings free kick in stoppage time wasn’t far off at all.
Chi remain in 13th spot as a consequence and travel to Potters Bar Town who are one point and one place below them in the league next on Saturday 30th November (Kick Off 3pm).
