Getting the club and fans to back our campaign really helps us
The Trussell/Chichester District Foodbank campaign, Football vs Hunger, to harness the power of football to help end the need for foodbanks has been a great success.
Food banks in the Trussell community distributed 3.1 million emergency food parcels – the most ever, and nearly double the number from five years ago.
With Chichester City signing for Trussell FC, and showing our support for the campaign along with other football clubs across the Nation, It is great to see our fans signing up as well.

Keely Storey, Campaigns Coordinator for Chichester District Foodbank said
“We are delighted to have Chichester City Football Club on board to give their support to our Football vs Hunger campaign. It was great to speak to fans about the issues, as well as about the wider work we do within our community. Getting the club and fans to back our campaign really helps us to drive the message that hunger and hardship is simply not acceptable in our society and together we can create a better future, and make hunger history“.
